Meaning of Certain Terms

For the purposes of this contract the term "Client" should be taken to mean any person or business making use of the registration system provided on this site. The Client must have attained 18 years of age and be legally entitled to enter into an agreement with The Right Copy (hereafter referred to as the “Company”) either as an individual in their own right or as the representative of a business.

The term "The Right Copy” refers to Miulois Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with the company number 06997484.                                 .

The term "Work" refers to the file or files submitted for registration or intended for submission to registration.

 

Registration

Creators of certain kinds of material listed below are granted automatic rights over their work by copyright, which enable them to control the ways in which their materials may be used. These rights are operational as soon as the material is recorded in writing or on any other medium.

Categories of work protected

1)      Literary: song lyrics, manuscripts, manuals, computer programs, commercial documents, leaflets, newsletters and articles etc.

2)      Musical: recordings and sound recordings etc

3)      The law accords creators of literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works and sound recordings specific rights regarding the manner in which third parties may use their creations.

The copyright registration service offered by The Right Copy for its Clients is to help them establish authorship of their works through provision of third-party documentary evidence of the existence of their work.

The Client can access duplicate certificates of their registered work online if required via their Client page.

The Client understands the original registered files will remain inaccessible and unalterable to the Client so as to keep registration active and effective.

The Client accepts that with registration duly noted The Right Copy Limited can only verify the date the Client registered their work, and that this date may be different and later than the date the Client actually created their work.

The Client accepts that the Company does not:

a. give legal advice or represent the Client as legal counsel
b. verify the authenticity or originality of the Client’s work
c. make comparisons with other registrations
d. offer or provide statutory protection
e. make any claims nor offer any guarantees of a successful outcome in any litigation due to Registration of the Client’s work with The Right Copy. The responsibility of proving copyright remains with the Client and / or their representative(s)
f. claim this is a formal copyright.

Clients agrees that the Company may store their file uploads in the Company’s storage facilities or any other suitable secure location chosen by the Company for the term of registration and/or subscription.

If the Client has not renewed his/her registration or subscription at the expiration of the term, the Company is then authorised to dispose of the relevant client file(s) (including deletion and destruction of said client files) without further notification to the Client.

The Company does not warrant or guarantee the operation of the site as being free of error or interruption, that defects will be corrected, or that this site or the server that make the site available are free of viruses or represent the full functionality, accuracy and reliability of the materials.

In no event will the Company be liable for any loss or damage, including without limitation, loss of profits, directly or indirectly, or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damages whatsoever arising from use of, or loss of use of, this website however incurred.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

The Company reserves the right to change the terms and conditions or any of these policies relating to its Services and operations whenever necessary.

 

Termination

The Company reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to terminate your account and/or to block your use of the service and website.

The Company reserves the right to amend any of the terms and conditions relating to the website at any time. Any changes to terms and conditions will be posted to the website with immediate effect. Your continued use of the site following posting of these changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

If the client choose to cancel the contract and terminate the registration before the expiration of the term, items deposited with the Company will not be returned and no refund will be made.

In accordance with Statutory Law, clients have the right to a seven-day “cooling off period” after purchase during which time they may cancel the agreement and receive a full refund.

There is no limit to the amount of data that may be uploaded by a client to our site within the registration. Following our step-by-step process means that uploads may be protected within minutes.
